The Floral Chicken is a venture by Stuart and Gail providing both traditional and modern upholstery.
Having worked in the NHS for many years Stuart retrained as an Upholsterer with the Ministry of Upholstery and now has a busy work schedule with many local clients. In our early days we found a lot of chairs needing to be rescued and brought back to life. These are sold on line and through our attendance at the artisan Duck Pond Markets in Ruislip and Chalfont's St Giles. These markets are also an ideal place to discuss your own projects as well, alongside seeing other independent makers covering all sorts of items. we do less chair rescues than we used to as we have built a large and growing clientele wishing to have their own pieces done but still try to make sure we have something on the stall each market.
We are able to offer a full Upholstery / re-upholstery service in both traditional and modern upholstery techniques and can source a whole range of fabrics for you. We generally cover the areas around Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire including areas like Princes Risborough, Thame, Haddenham, Areas near our markets such as Ruislip, Uxbridge, Harrow, Watford, Northwood, Pinner, The Chalfont's, Gerrard's Cross and most areas in South Bucks. However we are always happy to hear from you

I had an old ottoman reupholstered in velvet fabric with different coloured buttons on the top. It was a tired old thing when I dropped it off. It now looks absolutely amazing and my daughter is thrilled with it. Stuart did a fantastic job !!

Stuart repaired and reupholstered my ancient and tattered art deco sofa for me. I am absolutely delighted with the the work he has done, it looks like new and I get lots of comments about how beautiful it is! He has done the work sympathetically with the style and age of the sofa and he was great with helping me choose the right fabric and trim. Stuart kept me updated on the progress of the renovation and any unexpected issues, as it is an almost 100 year old peice. I would highly recommend Stuart if you need any upholstery work.

Stuart responded promptly to our enquiry and gave us an estimate as soon as he had seen a photo of the dining room chairs we needed re-upholstering. Despite having a long waiting list, he ‘squeezed’ us in straight away and did a fantastic job. He glued the chairs where they needed it and brought them back to us the same day. Excellent, efficient service. We cannot recommend him too highly.

I had a love seat re-upholstered and i was pleased with the results Floral Chicken provided good choice of fabrics and personal service. kept in touch on lead times picked up and dropped off with ease would recommend but book early as he is very busy
